Now I’ve had more than enough
Catastrophes are waiting around the bend
Man, this day has been rough
So tired I can barely stand
But what’s that annoying sound
It’s the accordion man again
Playing that same old song
Dressed in a ragged coat
He’s looking cheerful to the sky
And like a dawn
His words are striking home
The sun will not go down in a thankful heart
The sadest day can become a piece of art
You’re giving up to fast, you’re diggin’ a whole
Trouble may seem vast but you know
The sun will not go down in a thankful heart
Rain – we have nothing but rain
We’re marching just like zombies a long the street
As if we all were in pain
Melancholy is bittersweet
I’m thinking about my bank account
And all the things I wish I had
The carousel never ends
But what’s that familiar sound
It’s the accordion man again
And underneath the pouring sky his song is a fire
The sun will not go down in a thankful heart
The sadest day can become a piece of art
You’re giving up to fast, you’re diggin’ a whole
Trouble may seem vast but you know
The sun will not go down in a thankful heart
