The twin duo Garness is finally coming back to Kulturkirken Jakob to perform their Christmas concert! Their Christmas album "Barnet i krybben" (The Child in the Manger) arrived as a refreshing breath of air with its atmospheric and distinctive Christmas universe, creating excitement and positive reviews in the national press. Now, sisters Ingelin Reigstad Norheim and Hildegunn Garnes Reigstad are ready to once again create a magical Christmas concert experience for the audience, with their beautiful reinterpretations of well-known Christmas songs and their own compositions that have already become Christmas classics for many, such as "Fangens julekveld" (The Prisoner's Christmas Eve), "Julens sang" (Song of Christmas), and "The Shepherd Song."

The sisters of Garness are known for their playful musicianship on stage. After completing an extensive duo tour this spring with music from their recently released album "Restart," they are excited to explore their Christmas repertoire in the duo format. "It's incredible how two people can create so much music," is a comment often heard from the audience. Garness produces rich soundscapes and great dynamic variation with acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, ukulele, harps, and glockenspiel, but there is also ample space for the twin sisters' harmonious vocal melodies and the magical stripped-down moments. The hopeful and strong message of great joy for all people—the child in the manger—lies at the heart of Garness's Christmas concerts.

Garness has performed on TV programs such as "I kveld," "Beat for Beat," "Absolutt Norsk," "Kjempesjansen," "God morgen, Norge," "Håp i ei gryte," and "Jul på Slottet." They have collaborated with artists like Marit Larsen, Sigvart Dagsland, Jonas Alaska, and Odd Nordstoga. They were introduced to a large portion of the Norwegian public when they held the traditional Christmas concert "Kvelden før kvelden" (The Night Before Christmas) on NRK1 on Christmas Eve. Garness has released 5 studio albums, with the latest, "Restart," coming out on February 21 of this year. The single "Dele drømmen" (Sharing the Dream) from this album has been on NRK P1's playlist since the start of the year and has had frequent rotation on the A-list on the same channel this spring.
